Our History
The purpose of Theta Tau is to develop and maintain a high standard of professional interest among its members, and to unite them in a strong bond of fraternal fellowship.
Iota Epsilon Chapter
We are the Iota Epsilon chapter of Theta Tau at the University of Georgia. We are the University of Georgia’s only co-ed engineering fraternity. We were founded as a colony in 2015 and became a chapter in 2017. We’ve quickly grown into one of the largest engineering organizations at UGA. With over 100+ members, Iota Epsilon has grown into a large family. Our family is always looking for new members.

National History
Theta Tau is the oldest, largest, and foremost Fraternity for Engineers. Since its founding at the University of Minnesota in 1904, over 40,000 brothers have been initiated over the years. With emphasis on quality and a strong fraternal bond, the Fraternity has chapters only at ABET (American Board for Engineering & Technology) accredited schools. We unite a diverse community of engineers and engineering students from around the country in fraternal fellowship, professional development, and service to our communities.
